Beautifully restored Tuscan villa with pool located within walking distance to a charming village in the heart of Tuscany.
This type and standard of villa is to be considered quite a rarity for the local market given the sought after location. Completely restored in 2006 by the current owners the villa benefits from modern utilities and a very high standard of interior design.
The property is located just off a secondary country road close to an old Tuscan village – walking distance. The village offers basic amnesties such as a restaurant and grocery shop. There are two towns within 10 mins driving, both of which offer shops, supermarkets, banks, pharmacy etc. The property faces west/south west and the pool is situated in an area which enjoys the sun all day long.
Tuscany. The name is very ancient and derives from the ethnonym used by the Latins to define the land inhabited by the Etruscans: "Etruria", then turned into "Tuscia" and then into "Tuscany". Even the borders of today's Tuscany correspond in principle to those of ancient Etruria, which also included parts of the current regions of Lazio and Umbria, up to the Tiber.
Until 1861 it was an independent entity, known as the Grand Duchy of Tuscany. Since then it has been part of the Kingdom of Sardinia, of the Kingdom of Italy and today of the Italian Republic.
The regional capital is Florence, the most populous city (382 000 inhabitants), as well as the main historical, artistic and economic-administrative hub; the other provincial capital cities are: Arezzo, Grosseto, Livorno, Lucca, Massa, Pisa, Pistoia, Prato and Siena.
